"Are you made for Fire & Ice?" was the provocative question of the 1952 Revlon Fire & Ice campaign. With Valentine's Day right around the corner, I figured the timing was appropriate to write about an infamous shade of red that Revlon has decided to bring back to stores. Revlon Fire & Ice Lipstick and Nail Polish was one of the most iconic beauty launches and ad campaigns ever! The original model was Dorian Leigh and Jessica Biel has done a lovely remake of her ad. Unfortunately Joe is back in Idaho so he won't see my Fire & Ice lips, but yes I will be sporting them this Valentine's Day.
Beauty tip: for the less daring, try dabbing a hint of red lipstick on top of your gloss for a stain of red rather then a dramatic red pout.
